Two khaki Campbell ducklings joined everything else going on here last week. Ducklings always seem like they're smiling. They also provide smiles. These two are still in their heated box most of the day, but each morning they get a chance to splash around in their shallow pool for a while. They love it--
Darker duckling is my sister's and has been named Quinn--a gender neutral name since these are from a straight run. I'm still thinking about the other one's name. I'm hoping for at least one female, so this place can experience duck eggs, which are touted as even better than chicken eggs for baking. Time will tell! Plans for the duck suite are currently in the works. All sorts of ideas being floated around!
