Planting Schedule and Garden Blue Prints 2014

I used the planting calendar on the gardening blog Skippy's Vegetable Garden to give me a ballpark for starting seeds indoors and out this season.  I'm so eager to get started, but really, it's too soon right now.  It looks like I'll be planting my onions first at the end of February, over a month away!  I do believe this year I will try to follow this schedule, except where it comes to planting squash/pumpkins indoors.  I've never had luck with these as transplants and always had them thrive when directly sown.  I always seem to miss my second round of radishes and greens so this may be a great way to avoid that issue this year!

Herbs & Other Things

Today was the first day it was comfortable to leave the windows open until noon.  It was also the official day for planting things like radishes, herbs, and cooler weather greens and peas according to the U of A planting guidelines.  This evening under some feathery orange clouds that's what I was up to in the little side plot.
