I mentioned a while ago that there was a mouse in the backyard. It never seemed to be bothering the garden. Jewel loved it for its entertainment factor and I thought it would be a short term resident. However, I'm pretty sure its still around and may have decided to settle down and have a family. What mouse wouldn't want to when it has a salad bar ready and available 12 months out of the year? I'm pretty sure that the damage to my flowers and a few other plants have been the mouse. Then, there's the fact that only one of the sunflowers I planted came up {I planted over 20}, and my sweet potato squash seeds were dug up and eaten. Not cool. I think its living under the air conditioner. This week's goal...annihilation.

Camera Accident
There is a mouse in the backyard/garden...I've know it's been hanging around for about a week. I haven't noted any damage of any sort and there are absolutely no mice in the house, so I've let it be...besides its fast. Not worried about it since I'm certain its eating bird seed from the feeders in all the backyards around here or something as nothing {so far} has shown the result of a mouse's work. But Jewel is very worried about this mouse. A few times she's sniffed it out and given chase to have it go into another backyard. This morning she gave chase until the one being chased ran onto the back porch and under my plant shelf. So, the plant shelf went down while Jewel tried to go under. To make a long story short, the camera was on that shelf along with pots filled with moist potting soil. Jewel was pretty shook up over the collision that ensued {observe worried look above}, the mouse got away, I'm having to re-pot several herb containers, and the camera became very dirty and wet. Hoping I can get it fixed up...so far the lens is not acting right although it can still take pictures...just not zoom.
