Starting the Fall Tomatoes

Jewel found a snug place between the back of the couch and plant bench while visiting the Johnson's

I took advantage of Sharna's plant light while visiting.  I wish I had started them sooner, but time got away with me.  However, I was impressed with how fast the plants started poking through the soil...about 3 days, and it has given me a jump on the season.  I have six varieties planted:  {reds}  Brandywine Red, Granny Cantrell German Red, Grandfather Ashlock, {purple} Cherokee Purple, {yellow} TC Jones, {cherries}  Mexico Midget.

These rode back to Arizona in high style in a moving greenhouse and are looking marvelous.

wedged in among all our other stuff on the trip home
